This DHTML page consist of CSS script and Javascript. (This also demonstrates that cutting-edge technology can be used to produce ugly pages!)
The Dynamic HTML programming of the special effects on this page is so complex that "hand coding" becomes very difficult.

The price for having this presentation flexibility is a lot of "code" resulting and longer loading times -- In some circumstances this can be justified. Another potential problem is compatibility with older browsers. Netscape 4.0, for example, can't handle this page properly nor can IE 4.0.

The locomotive is an example of an "animated GIF" not to be confused with Dynamic HTML or Flash. Animated GIF's have fallen out of favor -- --from over-use. Good designers use them very sparingly or not at all. The word "tacky" is often applied to this kind of graphic.
